How to Remove Powered by WordPress on My Site’s Footer

Most WordPress default block themes include the text “Powered by WordPress” in the footer. It’s not exactly appealing for most website owners and visitors so follow these steps to remove the text in your website’s footer. Here’s how to remove it.

Go to the Site Editor (Appearance > Editor) and scroll down to the footer. In the picture below, the section in blue highlight is the footer and we’ve encircled in red the “Proudly powered by WordPress” text.

Click the Proudly powered by WordPress text.

In the block toolbar, click on the kebab (︙) menu button to open the Options menu. Look for the “Remove Paragraph” option and click on this. That should remove the Powered by WordPress text.
